CareerNova follows a privacy-first approach — your resume data is protected at every step, from upload through AI processing to storage. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and the measures we take to keep it safe.

What We Collect

Your name and email — to create and manage your account.
Your resume — to analyse it against job descriptions and generate your career insights.
Job descriptions you paste or upload — to match against your resume.
Your analysis results — stored in your account so you can access them anytime.

How Your Data Powers Your Results

Your data is only used to generate your results — nothing else. Your resume and job description are used to produce your match score, skill gap report, career roadmap, and rewrite suggestions.
Before anything is sent to our AI engine, personal identifiers — email, phone, and profile URLs — are automatically removed. Only your professional skills and experience reach the AI.
Your email is used solely for login, billing, and essential notifications. Nothing else.
Your data is never used to train, fine-tune, or improve any AI model — by us or any of our service providers.

How We Keep Your Data Safe

Your resume files and account data are encrypted at rest — stored securely with public access fully blocked. Only you can access your files.
All connections between your browser and our servers use TLS encryption. Your data is never sent over an unsecured channel.
Your data is never sold, rented, or shared with third parties for marketing purposes — ever.

AI & Data Processing

CareerNova uses an AI service to generate your match score, skill gap report, career roadmap, and rewrite suggestions.
Before anything is sent to the AI, personal identifiers — your email, phone number, and profile URLs — are automatically removed. Only your professional skills and experience reach the AI.
Your data is used solely to generate your results. It is not stored or retained by the AI service after your request is complete.
Your data is never used to train or improve any AI model — by CareerNova or any of our service providers.

Tools We Use to Run CareerNova

Google Sign-In: an optional way to log in quickly. We only receive your name and email — nothing more. Google handles authentication on their own servers.
Razorpay: processes payments for paid plans securely. Your card details are handled entirely by Razorpay and are never stored on CareerNova servers.
Cloud infrastructure: all data is hosted on a certified cloud platform under ISO 27001 and SOC 2 compliance — the same standards used by banks and major enterprises.

Your Controls

View your data: all uploaded resumes, analysis history, and account details are always accessible from within the app.
Update your profile: change your name, industry, and other details any time from the Settings page.
Delete your account: go to Settings → Delete Account. This permanently removes your profile, resumes, job descriptions, and all analysis results.
You may stop using CareerNova and delete your account at any time. Continued use of the service means you accept this policy.

How Long We Keep Your Data

Your resumes, analysis results, and account data are kept for as long as your account is active.
When you delete your account, all personally identifiable data is permanently removed within 30 days.
Any aggregate analytics retained after deletion are fully anonymised and cannot be traced back to you.
